When it comes to lilies, I like white calla lilies best, but stargazers are nicer when you want something eye-catching and dramatic. Also, I was itching to use the crimson.
These are easy to grow and the most commonly used in bouquets, because why not? They’re bright, they’re bold, they’re dramatic, and they come in a variety of hues, from reds and pinks to blues and purples. The most common ones are the deep pink speckled ones, aka the one above. Unlike their more austere cousins with the white petals, these varieties symbolize wealth and prosperity.
Also, they’re named stargazers because they face the night sky, and isn’t that just the loveliest thing?
